Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reach you? Email is the best way. The address is: Judith@JudithHenryCreative.com

How can I see a larger photo of a piece I’m interested in? Click on the thumbnail photo on the Home page or Gallery page, and it will take you to a larger version that includes more information about the piece. I’m also happy to send you additional photos.

How do I buy a painting, monotype, textile piece, or postcards from JudithHenryCreative? Contact me by email or click on the ORDER button under the larger photo of the item. This takes you to a form to complete.

What if I just have questions about a piece? The ORDER button can also be used for asking any questions you may have. There is also a CONTACT button on the site that can be used.

How do I pay you? I accept PayPal and major credit cards. An invoice will be generated and emailed once you’ve decided on a piece. After your payment has been made, I will begin the packing and shipping process.

What are shipping costs? Shipping is priced on a piece-by-piece basis, except where noted as “free shipping.” On the ORDER form, I’ve listed approximate costs, which are finalized upon purchase. Shipping is typically handled via the US Postal Service.

What are your payment terms? Full payment is expected at time of purchase.

Do you have a return policy? I strive to ensure that you are happy with a piece before it is shipped to you. In the event a piece doesn’t meet your expectations, contact me within 7 days of receipt to discuss a return. You are responsible for proper packing, shipping and insurance.

Does the art come ready to hang or must it be framed? All work comes with the appropriate hanging hardware, and can be hung without a frame, if preferred. In the case of textile art pieces, a fabric hanger is included.

Do you sell framed work?
If a piece is displayed on the site with a frame, that is how it is sold. Otherwise, framing is handled by the buyer. My mixed media original monotypes ( 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 ) all come framed.

I live outside the United States. Can I still purchase your art?
Of course, even though additional shipping frees would apply on all work.

Do you take commissions? If you see a piece you like, and prefer it in a different color combination or size, let’s talk!

Are you interested in being contacted by galleries or agents? Yes, I’m happy to discuss possible representation with your organization.

What do the terms Mixed Media, Monotype, and Textile Work mean? Mixed Media paintings can incorporate several different materials in addition to acrylic paints. These might include fabric, paper ephemera, graphite, oil and water based crayons, and pencil. Monotypes are made using a gel plate and acrylic paint. They’re called Monotypes because each individual print pulled from the plate is a unique original. Textile work is created from a variety of threads and fabrics from assorted scraps, vintage dishtowels, clothing, tablecloths, napkins, placemats and hand painted silk.

I love the titles of your work and what inspired you to create each piece. Is this information included when I purchase your work? Yes, each signed piece includes a card containing the title of the work, size, materials, month/year it was created, and the story behind it.

How do I take care of the art I purchase from you? All artwork (except textiles) are coated with a varnish to seal and protect the piece. With this said, make sure the artwork is kept out of direct contact with the sun to avoid possible fading.
