Sunshine Maker

Blues and yellows together are always so happy. Not in a loud, fireworks kind of way—but in a calm and steady way that that just feels reassuring.    

Shades of blue are the quiet part and yellows, with a touch of orange, add the sunshine.   

At this age, I’m learning that sunshine isn’t always something that shows up on its own though.  Some days, it has to be stitched together. A kind word here. A small risk there. Maybe even a bold splash of color where you used to play it safe.

We don’t wait for life to brighten—we have to make it happen. And when it works, even a little? Well, for that I’m grateful.

This happy little gal is called Sunshine Maker or Sunny for short. She’s more petite than the other pieces but still has a lot to say about being thankful for the little things in  life.
