Sunshine Maker

There’s something about yellows and blues together that feels quietly joyful. And as I age it becomes more clear that I’m the only one responsible for making that feeling happen. So, some days I just stitch it together myself. A kind word here. A small triumph there. A find at the thrift store. Even a few bright pops of orange instead of playing it safe.

This cheery little gal is called Make Your Own Sunshine or Sunny for short. She’s more petite than the other pieces but still has a lot to say about being thankful for the little things. I’ll keep you posted on her final form.
