Sometimes, the simplest things can connect us.

What do you think of when you hear the term - self-nurturing? Do you see it as an indulgence because you have much too much to do? Or, does it sound like a bubble bath and shopping for new shoes, and you only take showers and wear old sneakers?  

“Doing” is not always the answer. Sometimes, it’s simply “Being.”

.....said me, never. But somehow I'm digging this piece which has been scrubbed and rubbed out within an inch of its life.

In the spirit of the season, I wanted to reshare a vivid childhood memory I recorded for The Listen Project, our local library’s digital life story collection. No matter what holiday you celebrate, the wonder of new experiences and the comfort to be found in the familiar ones is universal. Hope you enjoy it!
